Bangladesh
In contact with the unknown

After deciding to go to this remote corner of Asia, I took the atlas to better see where it was. He was there, lying between India and Myanmar, crossed by enormous rivers. Enough, I didn't want to know more. I told myself that I should discover the country, living it, traveling. And so it was.
The first word that comes to mind when thinking about this experience is "glances". I must have crossed hundreds of them. Looks of friendship and curiosity towards the white man, not of hostility and indisposition. Another word I associate with Bangladesh is "green". There are so many rivers that flow there that the vegetation can only be dense and abundant. But green is also the color of hope; hope that the eyes of the people I met on this wonderful journey really need to imagine a better future in this piece of land which, to date, is the poorest in the world.
